Have you ever had a broken lift dropped off in maintenance, yet nobody seems to know how it got there? Do you have equipment being driven by operators who aren't certified? If you had an operator injured on the job and claimed he had indicated faulty brakes on the pre-shift forklift inspection, could you pull that record from three months ago to verify his claim? These are all very real situations, and most people’s answers would be the same. LIFTTRACK can help alleviate these, and many more very common issues.
Paperless Daily Inspections
The pre-shift safety inspection, required by O.S.H.A.*, is performed at a touch screen station instead of having the operators complete a written, paper checklist. With LIFTTRACK the operator simply inserts his own key into the touch screen station and performs an inspection specific to the particular vehicle. In less than 20 seconds, the operator is on his way and will not have to interact with the system again for the rest of the day – unless he has a severe impact.
Driver Certification
One of the difficult challenges facing an operation is unauthorized use of equipment by untrained operators. An integral part of LIFTTRACK is driver certification. Each operator’s key has an unique electronic profile that will only allow him to operate equipment that he is certified to operate. Also, LIFTTRACK will keep records of driver certification and send reminders when drivers re-certification is coming due. LIFTTRACK is driver certification. Each operator has an electronic profile indicating the equipment the driver is certified to operate. LIFTTRACK prevents a non-certified operator from using the equipment. Our lockout/tag out feature prevents unsafe equipment from being used by any operator.
Improved Safety Management
Proper maintenance is also a safety concern. At any given moment a manager can view the fleet status, daily inspections, preventative maintenance due or done, re-pair history for an individual unit, and the list goes on and on. Through the Internet, anyone with the password can view any piece of recorded data as if they were on site. So whether you want to obtain the certification status of all company operators or see how many units are currently red tagged, simply log onto LIFTTRACK.com and enter your password.
